These units are part of the San Diego Housing Commission’s Affordable For-Sale program. They are designed to help low to moderate income buyers purchase a home here in San Diego. There are several rules and restrictions to these units but they are an amazing opportunity for first-time homebuyers! Buyers must be a current San Diego County resident and have a history of living and working in San Diego for at least the last two years.

Minimum down payment is 3% and you cannot use the down payment assistance program in combination with the Affordable-For-Sale program.

Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident.

Cannot have owned any other properties within the last three years.

Debt-to-income ratio cannot be more than 45% including the estimated housing payment.

Must have a credit score of 640 or higher.
